Master Shin's Philosophy on TaeKwonDo

TaeKwonDo can be described as thinking with an action; it is expressed as human existence at the same time as physically actualizing mental desires.

TaeKwonDo is a total body exercise that develops energy in all organs of the body. It preserves balance and holds ability.

TaeKwonDo training, above all else, stresses the struggle to cultivate the self. Patience and self-discipline are won through tough repeated physical training. The practitioner is exposed to a life philosophy, with the first goal being to achieve harmony between the mind and body, then harmony with other people, nature and ultimately, the universe.

Anyone is capable of self-improvement by believing and trusting in themselves and using good judgment. It is true that everyone is born with potential, but learning how to reach and maximize your potential is what is important. By practicing TaeKwonDo at Shin's Academy you can improve yourself and achieve any goal.

Shin's TaeKwonDo Academy is unique among schools for today’s youth. Grand Master Shin and Master Shin strongly believe in Honor, Discipline and Respect. These attributes are taught to each student by following traditional Korean culture. The 5 Tenets of TaeKwonDo are not only taught, but they are lived. At Shin’s TaeKwonDo Academy, students learn not only how to be better martial artists, they learn how to be better people.
